Cloud Operations Engineer

Role Purpose: Cloud Operations Engineers are IT professionals responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems for businesses. They play a crucial role in developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, and troubleshooting cloud stacks. Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor a well-informed cloud approach and transition plan.
- Regularly examine cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Create and manage cloud-based systems across platforms like Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, and Oracle.
- Collaborate with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
- Respond promptly and competently to technical difficulties.
- Assist in infrastructure migration strategies, including mass application transfers to the cloud.
- Identify optimal cloud architecture options to align with the organization's strategic goals.
- Translate project-specific requirements into a cloud structure considering resource utilization and scalability.
- Design comprehensive cloud environments meeting all company needs.
- Perform deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management activities within the cloud framework.
- Ensure cloud security measures are in place.
- Integrate new applications into the cloud environment.
- Provide training and support for employees interacting with the cloud structure.
- Monitor cloud space usage and ensure system smoothness.
- Work with corporate clients to understand their requirements and implement cloud solutions to meet those needs.
- Conduct migrations to transfer tools and other aspects to the cloud as necessary.
- Utilize virtualization technologies for effective server administration.
- Architect and design solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts.
- Provide technical direction and lead a group of architects toward common goals.
- Enforce adherence to architectural standards, product-specific guidelines, and usability design standards.
- Analyze and operate at various levels of abstraction.
- Ensure suitable sizing of solutions, technology fit, and disaster recovery planning.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technology trends and define new patterns and standards as needed.
- Drive the development of blueprints and deliverables to enhance cloud capabilities.
- Collaborate with team members to design and develop end-to-end processes aligning with defined architecture.
- Continuously improve processes to deliver high-quality information and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic preferred.
- Strong leadership skills to guide project execution and team management.
- Excellent communication skills to engage constructively with stakeholders.
- Experience managing a PMO responsible for multiple, complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT field.
- Project or Program Management qualification (e.g., Azure, Google, AWS, Oracle Certifications).
