Part-Time Programmer for WhatsApp Chatbot Position: Part-Time Programmer (Paid) Project Duration: Feb to April 2025 Work Hours : 5–8 hours per week Location: Remote About the Role : We are looking for a motivated and skilled part-time programmer to join our team for a 3-month project focused on developing a WhatsApp chatbot for frontline health workers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in programming and chatbot development using the WhatsApp Business API. It will provide valuable exposure to real-world programming challenges and applications and is ideal for current engineering or programming students looking for internship opportunities. Key Responsibilities :
- Understand user engagement requirements for the chatbot, including functionalities like delivering video content, case studies, and quizzes.
- Collaborate with a WhatsApp API integration platform to program the chatbot user interface and backend content.
- Monitor the usage of the chatbot by users, track engagement metrics, and suggest improvements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to chatbot functionality and performance.
- Work closely with the project team to align the chatbot’s features with user needs and expectations.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic to intermediate programming experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar languages).
- Familiarity with APIs, especially WhatsApp Business API.
- Understanding of database management and backend programming is preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Prior experience with chatbot development or conversational AI.
- Understanding of user-centric design principles.
- Language: Knowledge of Hindi is a plus since the bot will be deployed in Bihar.
- Hands-on experience in programming and chatbot development.
- Mentorship and guidance throughout the project.
- A certificate of project completion from Indian School of Business.
