Job details
- Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of the financial strategy, including the use of systems to ensure efficient processes and business continuity
- Improve productivity and reduce costs by improving work processes through offering innovative ideas and input
- Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of compliance of financial policies and procedures
- Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Management of the Debtors function
- Review of monthly reconciliations
- Preparation of management accounts and reports ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Track ongoing financial performance by analysing month-end results and reporting to Schools and the Group
- Identifying deviations from budgets and recommending corrective action
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Forecasting of financial information and future cash requirements
- Liase with auditors
- Mitigate financial risk by staying abreast of and aligning to changes in accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
- Attend and participate in finance department and related meetings
- Build depth of skills and knowledge in the team of managers by sharing knowledge and insight with team members, ensuring mentoring, coaching and day to day activities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to drive business growth and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
