We are looking for a Project Director MEP to work on NEOM The LINE project, based in NEOM. The Project Director- MEP is responsible for overseeing and leading all pre and post construction activities for tertiary MEP services in the 3D MMC assembly facility and onsite for 2D and 3D residential and non-residential assets across City Built Infrastructure. Incumbent is thoroughly familiar with pre and post contractual obligations and technical aspects of complex MEP systems and installation, which involve developing work package plans using prefabricated components or packaged plant to support program. Overseeing the planning coordination and control of project interfaces for Tertiary MEP systems across all work packages including primary MEP systems, commissioning and handover (COBie data). This role will interface closely with the City Infrastructure MEP team, who will deliver Primary MEP services to vertical core locations and all basement areas. The role will involve developing detailed stakeholder management plans to identify, analyze and engage all key stakeholders and groups on a regular basis to manage expectations, objectives and outcomes. The role will foster a workplace culture that prioritizes compliance with company policies, procedures and project governance. The role will be actively involved in both pre- and post-contract phases and requires the post holder to have experience in both phases. Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for delivery of the pre and post construction phases of the residential and non-residential assets MEP, applying technical expertise and leadership to the tertiary MEP programme across City Built Infrastructure.
- Develop MEP work package plans to ensure all key deliverables are incorporated and align with cost plan and programme objectives.
- Provide input into design phases to ensure buildability aligns with project deliverables and programme.
- Ensure MEP design aligns with the project execution plan to utilise packaged plant and sub-assemblies that can be fully assembled into 3D and 2D building systems in manufacturing facilities to minimise onsite installation and commissioning.
- Develop procurement execution strategies for work packages aligned to project deliverables and programme objectives, assessing commercial risks aligned to buildability, programme, long lead procurement and whole life cycle cost.
- Build effective stakeholder relations across a multi-faceted organization developing key interface and engagement plans to build successful stakeholder relations.
- Work closely with the QC/QA teams to ensure all QC/QA deliverables are met in accordance with process, procedures and applicable standards.
- Provide leadership to engineers and project managers, mentor and guidance in support of project goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage risks using hazard identification to manage and mitigate risks in conjunction with the wider project team.
- Oversee and manage that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Preparation of periodic reports summarizing progress of key activities and milestones and mitigation plans to address key risks in programme.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills relating to complex MEP projects.
- Established track record with PMC and Main Contractors would be a suitable background.
- Proficient in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
- A self-motivated, proactive individual who leads by example.
- Proactive leadership qualities, technical problem solving through building stakeholder relationships.
- Delivery focused, strong ability to articulate goals and objectives to project managers and engineers by example.
- Extensive experience building and leading multidisciplined teams.
- Demonstrable record in successful delivery of large complex projects as project lead/project director.
- Ability to clearly articulate objectives and lead project managers and engineers by example.
- Engineering Degree and Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, must be proficient in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services, having played a senior role in large multi-faceted complex projects.
- Minimum 25+ years of direct experience in the consultancy and construction of mega-scale MEP projects is required, with 10+ years of experience in design review, project management & consultancy work in the delivery of large MEP Projects.
