Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a HR Generalist with a strong background
in recruitment along with comprehensive knowledge of various HR functions, including
employee relations, benefits administration and compliance.
This role is based in Durban, with potential travel to branches across KwaZulu-Natal.
Candidates should have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation would be
beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage recruitment lifecycle, onboard new hires, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Employee Relations & Performance Management: Address HR inquiries, promote engagement, and assist in setting performance goals.
- Benefits Administration & Compliance: Manage employee benefits, educate staff, and ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Training & HR Projects: Identify training needs, coordinate development programs, and participate in HR projects to enhance processes.
- Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Human Resources.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role with a significant focus on recruitment.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices and South African labour laws.
- Knowledge of FAIS and the NCR Act (advantageous).
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
