Responsibilities

Contact the appropriate person or department (e.g., Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) as necessary to resolve calls, requests, or guest issues. Utilize sales techniques that optimize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including upselling techniques. Determine and grant gifts to guests as a thank you for being our customers (e.g., reward points, show tickets, gift certificates). Promote brand image awareness both internally and externally. Process requests to redeem Marriott Rewards points. Process all room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail. Enter Marriott Rewards program information using appropriate software when taking guest reservations. Attend to, register, and process all calls, requests, questions, or concerns from guests. Perform general office tasks to support Sales and Marketing (e.g., filing, emailing, transcribing information, sending faxes). Assist management in training and motivating employees; serve as a role model. Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring that uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and respond to them with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer phones using appropriate etiquette. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Monitor the performance of others to ensure they meet expectations and standards of quality. Read and visually verify information in various formats. Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED. Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
