- Remote Role - 2 days on-site per month The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard. Job Overview: Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes. Some of your duties will include:
- Reviewing the technical and mechanical design of piping.
- Lead and manage one or more technical design packages agreeing project-related objectives, managing designer performance and making appropriate technical management responses.
- Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied
- Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
- Will require good mechanical services knowledge. The work package is the design and build of a process piping and treatment system, so foundational knowledge of such systems is required.
- Experience of line managing designers.
- Experience of working in a 3D BIM environment.(Building Information Modelling)
