Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Machine Learning Engineer – AI-Based Observability Company Background: TekRek has partnered with a 150+ person digital solutions firm that empowers businesses to focus on scaling capabilities without the burden of complex IT systems. This role would be in a newly created R&D team that’s focused on applying the newest technologies to help the company grow. It is a 2 day a week in office hybrid role, office is Downtown Toronto. Job Description: As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

• Design and maintain systems to acquire real-time data from IT monitoring platforms, observability tools, and knowledge bases
• Build scalable pipelines for data acquisition, transformation, and processing, ensuring seamless integration with machine learning workflows
• Create multi-stage machine learning inference pipelines for real-time system monitoring, predictive analysis, and automated incident management

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years in progressive machine learning positions
• Expertise in real-time data acquisition and scalable data pipeline development
• Tech stack includes:
• Python (advanced) and machine learning libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Streaming data platforms (Kafka, Redis, etc) for low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques for anomaly detection, forecasting, and system optimization.
