Our Service Desk team play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations across the business, providing the technical expertise to enable our people to succeed every day. About the Role We’re seeking a Service Desk Analyst to join the team on an 8 month contract. You’ll provide friendly and efficient technical support to IT system users, helping them overcome technical challenges with their hardware, software, and systems. You’ll ensure that users can work without interruption, while promoting best practices in IT security and system usage. The role requires working on-call one in every four weeks. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT incidents, requests, and issue escalation.
  • Providing technical support for hardware, software, network, and smartphone issues, both remotely and in person.
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and configurations while documenting solutions for self-help resources.
  • Ensuring effective communication and user education across all business levels.
  • Supporting change management processes and maintaining accurate ticket and system records.
About You: We’re seeking a proactive, customer-focused professional with solid IT support expertise, and a genuine passion for providing outstanding service. You’ll confidently demonstrate:
  • A background in IT Helpdesk or end-user support in a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Office 365 Suite) and IT support tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, LAN, and WLAN environments.
  • Ability to manage Tier 1 incidents, SLA’s and promote IT security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Jira and SAP ERP systems is an advantage.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • A team-oriented mindset with strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Industry certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, or CompTIA A+/Network+
  • Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
