OfficeField is seeking a skilled Software Engineer - Android to join our development team. As an Android engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality Android applications that deliver an exceptional user experience. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for a variety of devices, ensuring optimal performance, user engagement & responsiveness
- In-depth knowledge of the Android SDK and Android Studio
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries/frameworks
- Collaborate with functional and design teams to create new functionalities
- Optimize app performance, including load times and memory usage, to provide a smooth user experience.
- Integrate with backend services and external APIs to enable seamless data exchange and app functionality
- Sound understanding of Git strategies, continuous integration setup and automation
- Perform unit testing and UI testing to detect and rectify issues and irregularities
- Prepare and submit applications to the Google Play Store, ensuring they meet Google's guidelines and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of experience with proven experience as an Android engineer, with a strong portfolio of published apps
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
