- Possess at least 3+ years of collections experience with no more than a 3-month gap in employment or working outside collections in the most recent role .
- Have experience working with an outsourcing firm and handling accounts 120+ days delinquent .
- Demonstrate strong English communication skills, scoring no less than 9/10 in proficiency.
- Have a stable internet connection and must use a laptop for the interview.
- Have at least one year of prior work-from-home experience .
- Exhibit strong negotiation skills during the pre-screening process.
- Confirm availability for interviews in advance, as failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Previous call center experience is required.
- At least 6 months of experience in collections is essential.
- Excellent phone communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills; knowledge of a second language is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CRM and call center systems.
- Impeccable judgment and acute attention to detail.
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently and efficiently.
- Experience in customer service, debt loan collection, consumer lending, or personal loans.
- Familiarity with underwriting loans, financial statements, and payroll is a plus.
- Contact customers via phone and email to secure payments for past-due loans, determine reasons for delinquency, and obtain commitments to pay.
- Negotiate payment in full or establish repayment arrangements.
- Update and maintain accurate customer accounts in the computer system.
- Adhere to established guidelines when determining appropriate collection remedies.
- Develop and implement repayment schedules with various alternatives, while explaining the consequences of delinquency to customers.
- Resolve client inquiries regarding payment questions and payment issues independently.
- Organize future workflows and schedule follow-ups.
- Record and update full and detailed account information to assist in account resolution.
- Maintain established performance metrics.
- Comply with company policies and procedures as required.
- Perform customer service tasks if requested by the manager.
