Industrial Refrigeration Technician Needed for Antarctic Maintenance Project Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica Duration: March to October Rate: $70 per hour (Contracting rate), $55 per hour (PAYE rate) About the Role: Are you a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Technician seeking the adventure of a lifetime? Join our elite maintenance team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. This unique opportunity involves maintaining and ensuring the optimal performance of refrigeration systems in one of the world's most extreme and remote environments. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting station operations and ensuring safety and comfort in the harsh Antarctic climate. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on industrial refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve refrigeration issues.
  • Adhere to stringent safety standards and regulations in all work performed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to maintain station operations.
Requirements:
  • National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Technician Registration).
  • Open work rights in New Zealand.
  • Successfully pass medical, dental, and background checks.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work under extreme conditions in a unique living environment.
