Junior Payroll Accountant (Work Remotely)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process payrolls for all employees, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
3. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
4. Handle direct deposit requests and process paper checks for distribution.
5. Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any issues.
6. Process wage garnishments and other deductions using Paylocity.
7. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.

1. Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
2. Solid understanding of payroll principles and best practices.
3. Preferably with knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Heartland Payroll) and MS Office.
4. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
5. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
6. Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and management.
7. Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
8. Willing to work on a midnight shift.
