Role Description The Chief Quality Officer (CQO) will oversee all quality assurance, compliance, and accreditation activities across the entire enterprise. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer and is enterprise-level, not confined to a single entity, ensuring consistency in quality management across all organizational units, facilities, and departments. The CQO will lead efforts to achieve and maintain Joint Commission International Accreditation for Hospitals, Home Care and Enterprise Accreditation, CAP (College of American Pathologists) and other relevant accreditations and certifications while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement across the enterprise.
Enterprise-Wide Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a strategic quality roadmap for achieving and maintaining JCIA, CAP, ISO and other relevant accreditations and certifications across all facilities and organizational units.
- Establish and align enterprise-wide quality goals with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison for accreditation bodies and regulatory agencies for the entire enterprise.
Accreditation Management Across the Enterprise:
- Lead accreditation efforts for JCIA, CAP, ISO and other standards across all entities within the organization.
- Conduct enterprise-wide readiness assessments, gap analyses, and compliance monitoring.
- Coordinate on-site surveys, audits, and inspections across multiple locations.
Enterprise Policy and Process Standardization:
- Develop and implement quality policies, SOPs, and protocols to meet accreditation standards.
- Ensure standardization of quality processes across all entities to maintain consistency and compliance.
Enterprise-Level Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI):
- Design and oversee quality improvement programs to enhance clinical and operational outcomes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor performance metrics across all units.
- Implement corrective actions for identified gaps across the enterprise.
Education and Training Across the Enterprise:
- Provide training and education programs on quality and accreditation requirements for staff at all facilities.
- Promote awareness of accreditation standards and best practices among all stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Oversee enterprise-wide data collection and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide consolidated quality performance reports to the leadership team and accreditation bodies.
Enterprise Risk and Compliance Management:
- Identify potential quality and accreditation risks across the enterprise and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with national and international regulations and standards across all entities.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operational teams across all entities to integrate quality standards.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including patients, families, and community partners, to promote a culture of quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Certification in quality (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality - CPHQ) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare quality management, with significant experience in accreditation processes.
- Proven track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives and achieving accreditations across multiple entities.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Deep understanding of international accreditations such as JCIA, CAP and other accreditation standards across diverse healthcare settings.
- Analytical mindset with data interpretation capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
