We are looking for a detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic research team in Manila. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of the research reports and making draft voting recommendations to institutional investors. The drafts prepared will then be reviewed by an editor (Analyst) based in Sydney, Tokyo, and Manila.
This position is ideal for an individual seeking an entry-level position in corporate governance and/or investment stewardship. The role is a part-time, hybrid position that requires some regular office attendance. This is a six-month fixed-term contract, with an opportunity for a permanent position at the end of the term subject to the candidate’s performance. The successful candidate will also work three days in the office and two days remotely. This position is based in our Makati City office.

This position is in Manila Philippines This is a hybrid position with regular office attendance initially 2 – 3 days required per week.
The main responsibilities of a GLASS LEWIS: RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, EMEA (PROJECT-BASED) include:
Write research reports by reviewing publicly available information as disclosed by public companies, verifying data and issuing recommendations based on Glass Lewis policies.
Analyze and make draft voting recommendations for governance and/or compensation related proposals in EMEA.
Reviewing meeting materials disclosed by publicly listed companies (e.g. annual report, notice of meeting)
Analysing information with regards to corporate governance and remuneration practices
Summarising meeting proposals and providing voting recommendations based on best practice
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
Strong analytical writing and research skills (emphasis on qualitative analysis).
Ability to quickly comprehend and summarise complex subjects.
Ability to process data quickly and accurately.
Must work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Genuine interest or knowledge of corporate law, regulation, finance.
A keen interest in corporate governance issues at listed companies will be looked upon favourably. This may include company board structures, director independence, employee incentive plans capital raisings.
