Job Summary: The Australian Mortgage Broker Assistant / Loan Processor is responsible for managing the mortgage loan process from application to closing. This role involves gathering and verifying financial information, reviewing loan applications for compliance, liaising between the borrower and underwriter, and working with mortgage aggregators to ensure a smooth and efficient loan approval process. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send loan documents: Welcome packs, compliance documentation, and loan applications.
- Data management: Enter and manage data in systems like Salestrekker, Monday.com, and Hubspot.
- Loan processing: Complete loan applications, fill out forms, conduct product comparisons, and request pricing information from lenders.
- Client communication: Follow up with clients on outstanding documents, conduct post-settlement calls, and address borrower inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure regulatory adherence and accuracy in loan documents.
- Valuation and assessment: Order property valuations and assess loan eligibility
- Experience : Proven experience in mortgage broker assistant / loan processing, preferably with Australian mortgage experience.
- Knowledge : Strong understanding of Australian mortgage lending regulations and guidelines.
- Skills : Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting processes and loan types.
- Attention to detail : High level of accuracy in reviewing and processing loan applications.
- Problem-solving : Ability to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Client-oriented : Strong focus on providing excellent client service.
- Time management : Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ethical standards : Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all dealings.
- CRM Systems : Proficiency in using CRM systems like Quickli, Salestrekker, Mercury to track and manage client interactions.
- Aggregator Platforms : Familiarity with mortgage aggregator platforms such as AFG, Connective, SFG or PLAN Australia.
- Remote work : Ability to work remotely with clients and stakeholders across Australia.
- Collaborative team : Work closely with a team of mortgage professionals and support staff.
