Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations
Manager to join their team. This role is based in Durban, with potential travel across KwaZulu
Natal. Valid driver’s license and personal transportation are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that processes and systems are fit for purpose.
- Identify and deliver process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain effective frameworks, procedures and approaches for all areas of customer services.
- Achieve business operations and sales targets.
- Ensure the business is always in a profit state.
- Allocate resources to meet operational demands and ensure branches operate daily.
- Implement strategies that align with company objectives, monitor KPIs and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (advantageous).
- MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus (advantageous).
- At least 5 years of experience in operations management, focusing on customer service
- Sound understanding of credit risk, underwriting risk, sales distribution, customer service operations, financial modelling, quality assurance, compliance, human capital and legal frameworks.
- Understanding of FAIS & NCR Act (advantageous).
- Proficiency in operations management software and tools.
