We are seeking driven and result-oriented professionals' for the role of Business Strategy & Equity Investments . This unique role will focus on identifying & targeting large manufacturing companies, corporates, HNIs & Investors for structuring private equity investments, manufacturing, M&A & JV partnership opportunities in Africa. The successful candidate will leverage their deep industry knowledge and network to drive business growth, enhance company competitiveness, and forge lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Business Strategy & Development:
- Develop and implement business strategies to identify and pursue growth opportunities in industrial sectors through private equity investors, large corporates, M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnerships.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of new projects, joint ventures, and acquisitions that align with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Manage and expand the investor pipeline, driving the acquisition of new investors and partnerships across company projects.
- Identify and engage with potential partners, investors, and clients to explore collaborative opportunities.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers across industries and geographies, including HNIs, C-level executives and shareholders in potential partner organizations.
- Lead discussions and negotiations for M&A deals, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, working closely with legal, financial, and executive teams.
- Conduct due diligence, market analysis, and feasibility studies to assess potential deals and opportunities.
- Oversee the deal structuring process, ensuring alignment with company objectives, risk management practices, and financial targets.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, market opportunities, and regulatory changes that may impact business development opportunities.
- Build a strong network of industry contacts and partnerships to support business growth, including potential investors, industry experts, and advisors.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, operations, legal) to support business development initiatives and ensure seamless execution of new projects and partnerships.
- Support the integration process of new acquisitions or joint ventures, ensuring smooth operational alignment and achieving projected synergies.
- Lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and contracts for prospective industrial projects, partnerships, and M&A transactions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements for the company.
- Masters degree in Business Management, Engineering, Certified Chartered Accountant, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of [20] years in Investment Banking, M&A, Investment Advisory, Business development, Strategy roles.
- Proven experience in driving successful business development activities, including closing deals and managing complex negotiations.
- Strong understanding of private capital investments, project development, and the M&A process.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with senior leadership.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence decision-makers.
- Deep understanding of the industrial sector and related markets.
- Ability to evaluate business opportunities, conduct risk assessments, and develop strategies for profitable growth.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, with an ability to work with financial models and analysis tools.
- Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to drive business success in a competitive environment.
- Self-starter with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, especially in negotiations and partnerships.
