Job Description: L3 Support Engineer (Scheduling and Scripting Expert) Client : Leading Investment Banking Client (One of the most prominent in the world) Work Mode : Work From Home (Remote) with potential onsite opportunities . Experience Range :

  1. 8-10 years
  2. 3-5 years
Key Responsibilities :
  • Manage and maintain scheduling tools like Autosys , CtrlM , and cron as part of a migration project.
  • Develop, debug, and optimize scripts, primarily in Shell and Python , to support batch job operations and migrations.
  • Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including implementing and pushing changes using tools like Git .
  • Automate scripts and workflows through pipelines with a focus on functional automation, rather than deep configuration management.
  • Perform analytical and debugging tasks to resolve issues in batch jobs, dependencies, and workflows effectively.
  • Log in to Linux OS hosts using SSH to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve job performance. Perform file handling, pattern matching, and OS/disk monitoring to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Analyze jobs and identify inter-batch dependencies, ensuring smooth workflows and effective job execution.
  • Debug scripts functionally and address issues by understanding business and technical contexts.
  • Work with relational databases using SQL for querying and analyzing job-related data.
Required Skills and Expertise :
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools : Autosys, CtrlM, cron.
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC processes and experience using version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with pipeline automation concepts and tools.
  • Expertise in Linux OS , including SSH, file handling, pattern matching, OS monitoring, and disk space management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to debug and optimize workflows.
  • Good knowledge of SQL for job analysis and data troubleshooting.
  • Ability to understand and debug inter-batch dependencies and workflows effectively.
Onsite Clause (Important) : While this role is primarily remote (Work From Home) , the candidate should be open to potential onsite opportunities based on project or client requirements. Key Attributes :
