Our client is seeking an experienced and well-presented Hospitality Manager to join a luxury guest farm located in a remote area outside Montagu. This role is ideal for an individual or part of a couple passionate about creating bespoke guest experiences while contributing to a sustainable, nature-focused agricultural business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-end hospitality management and possess the creativity, leadership, and attention to detail required to maintain exceptional service standards.
- Location: A secluded farm 25km outside Montagu Accommodation: 2-Bedroom House (Electricity, Water, Internet, and DSTV included)
- Develop and maintain top-tier customer care standards.
- Tailor bespoke guest experiences centred on slow living, farm-to-table dining, and relaxation.
- Ensure a welcoming and luxurious environment that exceeds guest expectations.
- Oversee day-to-day hospitality operations, including staff management, bookings, and guest services.
- Work closely with the Farm Manager and owners to align hospitality and farming initiatives.
- Manage events, activities, and special occasions to enhance guest experiences.
- Handle financial responsibilities, including budgeting, meeting profitability targets, billing, and stock/asset management.
- Perform general administrative tasks and use Microsoft Office tools efficiently.
- Recruit, manage, and train staff, ensuring a high-performing team.
- Oversee labour relations and performance management processes.
- Provide leadership to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high-end hospitality management.
- Matric certificate and a hospitality qualification are required.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans; additional languages are an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-presented with a passion for hospitality, hosting, and entertaining.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high guest standards.
- Creative flair for aesthetics, interior design, and culinary offerings.
- Enthusiastic about food, wine, and the overall guest experience.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage staff effectively.
- Well-developed problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general administrative tasks.
- Valid driver’s licence.
