SUMMARY OF ROLE As a Costing Accountant, you will report to the Costing & FPA Manager. You will be managing the Controlling department which comprises Controlling (CO) activities with Cost Centre Management; Product Costing; Variance Analysis and Reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In charge of the actual material and gross margin analysis of main products vs standard margin. Monthly WIP and FG capitalization of manufacturing cost such as labor and overhead. Conduct real-time product cost simulations and maintain comprehensive cost records for all products manufactured across different divisions. Annually review and perform standard cost roll up, analyzing changes and impacts due to factors such as product design, material costs, and foreign exchange rates, and present these findings to the Finance Manager/Director. Analysis of monthly spending by cost centers and operating expenses analysis vs Budget/Forecast. Monthly conduct thorough production variance analyses to identify and report on discrepancies. Regularly track and compare preset direct labor and overhead rates against actual rates, reporting any significant variances. Follow and enhance internal controls to ensure financial security. Participate in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business. An effective team player and communicator, need to understand the operations and engage proactively amongst the cross-functional stakeholders and cultivate close working relationships; able to communicate with different parties both internally & externally. Assist in projects in actual and standard costing implementation and ad-hoc assignments. RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirements Degree in Finance/Accountancy with at least 2 to 3 years of costing experience, preferably in MNC or manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in SAP Hana system especially in CO module and Microsoft advanced Excel is an added advantage. Have a can-do mindset to enhance on process improvement constantly. Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with all levels in the organization and stakeholders in both verbal and written English. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Organizational skills to manage complex financial processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effective dialogue with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders. Ability to function both as an individual contributor and team player and comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment.
