Network Engineer

The Network Engineer is responsible for managing day-to-day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents, and changes meeting customer’s requirements and agreed service levels. Perform and support regular preventive maintenance tasks. The activities include: Responding to and handling customer requests/queries Incident resolution Change and Service Request fulfillment Problem ticket closure Preventive maintenance tasks fulfillment Vulnerability assessment Assisting the Team Lead/Operations Manager in training and guiding junior team members Developing and enhancing NOC team capability Make an Impact by Analysing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site Documenting incident RCA reports and the configuration of the system and (network) system performance tuning Ensuring security compliance, patching, health check & hardening remediation Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems Performing standard or project change requests as per change window Providing on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes Performing Preventive Maintenance Participating in customer weekly sessions Skills for Success Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent Minimum 3 years of experience in Network support and maintenance (LAN/WAN/Cloud) Minimum CCNA Certified Experience in network/security administration in enterprise DC and Public Environment Experience in supporting firewall/network products such as Cisco routers & switches, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco ACI, Aruba, Infoblox, Citrix load balancers, Solarwinds etc. Experience in troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues, analysing system logs and identifying potential issues/incidents Your Career Growth Starts Here.
