Skills Coordinate with sales team, project and production managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information for production planning and scheduling.

  1. Monitor ongoing production progress and performance, identifying potential delays or issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  2. Ensure that production plans and schedules are updated regularly and accurately to reflect the current status of all production activities.
  3. Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential production risks and challenges.
  5. Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to ensure timely availability of resources and materials.
  6. Prepare and present production status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies, to the general manager and other stakeholders.
  7. Analyze production performance of ongoing production orders to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
  8. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among production team members, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of production progress and changes.
  9. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and scheduling processes.
  10. Maintain production planning documentation, including schedules, plans, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  1. Strong production planning and scheduling abilities.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proficiency in production management software and tools.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  6. Ability to manage multiple production orders simultaneously.
  7. Knowledge of steel and fabrication processes.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferably masters in industrial management.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in steel industry.
  3. Proficiency in production management software (e.g., Power BI, ERP system) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Experience in risk management and resource optimization.
  5. Strong understanding of production management principles and methodologies.
  6. Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.
