For more information, visit ABOUT YOUR ROLE Be the overall lead for all sourcing activities for footwear and equipment, including global allocation, product development, production, and coordinate between functions, brand, vendors. This role has a multifaceted impact that extends beyond the footwear and equipment organization, influencing the company’s strategic direction, operational efficiency, financial performance, and brand reputation. This role is integral to achieving long-term success and sustainability in the competitive footwear and equipment market. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SOURCING STRATEGY Develop and drive the sourcing strategies for Footwear, Equipment and Accessories that align with the brands’ product, financial and marketing strategies. Maximize opportunities to drive duty and trade agreements for the global businesses and leverage supply with One VF vendors. Develop and drive global allocation strategy and process for Footwear, Equipment and Accessories product categories. Drive the long-term opportunities for harmonization of working practices across brands and product categories to support the One VF strategy. DRIVE STRATEGIC BRAND INTERACTION MODEL Build strategic partner relationships with brand associates in EMEA, AMER and APAC, sharing opinions with gravitas. Share Global Product Supply strategies to influence and guide brand product strategies, enabling opportunities to create value enhancing brand margin, product innovation strategies and harmonization of process globally. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AND SMOOTH OPERATIONS IN FACTORIES Establish strategic partnership with vendors to ensure stability and predictability, collaborative planning, and setting clear performance metrics and incentives. Guide team on Product Development and Production related topics, building flexibility and agility, collaborating with stakeholders in quality, sustainability, compliance, and risk management. Push for KPI excellence that meet or exceed VF targets. Ensure close interaction with vendors and brands to quickly solve any operational issues. OTHER TASKS Create innovation in our business processes such as development calendars, vendor led initiatives, speed to market solutions. Strive to overcome challenges in optimizing KPI management, having the passion to do more than ‘just bringing in the numbers’. PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP Oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of a large, matrixed, global team, fostering collaboration across and among them. Lead and influence cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration efforts, fostering teamwork and synergy among virtual teams to drive collective success of the global brand. Maximize performance through goal setting, regular coaching, and feedback, and holding people accountable for achieving goals. Develop and implement comprehensive succession planning strategies to identify and grow talent for future leadership. REQUIRED EXPERIENCES REGIONAL AND GLOBAL Built strategic partner relationships with counterparts in Europe, USA and Asia Pacific, sharing opinions with gravitas – on current challenges with a ‘solution first’ approach to dialogues. OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE Strong at leading sourcing function to deliver results, but also at the same time, able to foresee/predict any upcoming challenge risks or negative perception from stakeholders. BUSINESS STRATEGY Experience building, executing, and communicating business strategies. LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE More than 15 years in progressive leadership roles.
