A. Overall Purpose Of The Job To be responsible for the delivery of professional, effective and timely clinical services for International SOS Clients. The health care support meets a high standard of clinical excellence in partnership with the local and regional teams. B. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Provide first aid treatment and primary healthcare a nurse’s capabilities Provide basic stabilization and triage to major cases within a nurse’s capabilities Provide documentation, reports of cases seen Communicate with both International SOS medical staff and client regarding clinical information Provide health-related education in both individual and group settings Oversee infection control measures within clinic site Assist in management of clinic site including but not limited to medical supplies, status of medical equipment, equipment checks etc. Participate and process pre-participation screening as directed Administer OTC medication Case Escalation Escalation as per International SOS protocol to the Coordinating Doctor on duty for International SOS Singapore Assistance Center. Medical Transportation – As Required To work collaboratively with the operations medical team throughout the period of patient movement. To work within the standard operating procedures to facilitate authorization and communication advisement throughout the period of patient medical evacuation and admission / discharge to / from the treating facility. To participate in the medical training of internal and external nursing team members. Participate and support the Medical Transportation Standards through the process of audit and case review to ensure compliance. Participate in the Medevac on call duties for team coordination and nursing duties as required. Additional Responsibilities To work within and promote all International SOS’s policies, procedures and corporate values. To be aware of International SOS’s policies, practices and procedures and actively participate in the ongoing development and enhancement of these important areas of our business. Be responsible for own Continuing Professional Education (CPE). International SOS will endeavor to support appropriate Continuing Professional Education requests. Attend supervision, training and departmental meetings as and when required. Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities (OH&S) Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace. Undertake all mandatory OH&S training as required. Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies, procedures or safe work practices given by Intl.SOS in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations. Take reasonable care to ensure their own health and safety and the safety of others. To report any injury, hazard or illness as soon as possible to their supervisor. C. Job Profile Required Skills and Knowledge Experience of working in the acute care clinical setting, preferably ICU/ER for a period greater than 2 years. Experience with trauma. Able to demonstrate clinical leadership and application of a team focused approach in the clinical setting. The ability to prioritize medical information and produce clinical recommendations for clients. Prior medical assistance experience, desirable but not essential. Computer literate in MS Office Applications and Windows applications. Keyboard skills (desirable) Professional written and verbal communication skills Customer /client focused approach to clinical care. Confidence in clinical decision making. Experience of scholastic organizations, desirable but not essential. Required Work Experience Registered Nurse (Diploma or Degree) Minimum 2 years of ward experience in either General Ward, Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit Required Qualifications Must hold registration to practice in country of origin. Current certification in BCLS, AED and EPIPEN administration. Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing board. Required Languages Written and spoken English. #J-18808-Ljbffr
