Job Title: Assistant Professor, Graphic Design Location: Al-Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Department: Graphic Design School: College of Architecture and Design Reports to: Department Chair; College Dean Introduction Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd University (PMU) emphasizes the importance of research, innovation, and cutting-edge teaching to address contemporary challenges and future trends. PMU seeks to strengthen its academic staff to support its mission of knowledge dissemination and solution-oriented education. General Description The members of PMU’s Graphic Design faculty will:- Perform their duties in alignment with the university’s values, standards, and policies, maintaining high professional standards and leading by example.
- Collaborate with students as part of a learning community to provide a world-class education and an excellent student experience.
- Integrate the university’s values of inclusiveness into all job aspects, respecting the dignity and diversity of all community members and visitors.
- Promote collegiality within the university community and collaborate with interdisciplinary departments and programs.
- A Ph.D. in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, Multimedia, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of four years of university-level teaching experience.
- A track record of research, publication, and professional practice in graphic design, computer graphics, or multimedia is desirable.
- Expertise in innovative teaching and hands-on experience in courses like:
- A minimum of 2-4 Scopus Q1 papers per year in relevant fields is essential.
- Excellent English language skills and comfort in a technology-enhanced academic environment.
- Engage in innovative teaching practices.
- Provide student guidance and mentorship.
- Participate in the school’s and college’s management and administrative functions.

- A statement of research and teaching interests.

- A narrative of administrative and leadership philosophy, including a statement of past and proposed efforts to enhance diversity.
