Supervisor - Assembly You as an Assembly Supervisor will be part of Hitachi Energy High Voltage Business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be assembling GIS components and modules into complete bays and performing routine tests through a lean and flow production line with outstanding performance that is targeting the best quality, maximum cost saving and shortest delivery time. Contributing actively to improving manufacturing process. Your responsibilities

  1. Performing Assembly, repair and routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays (including components & modules) according to the prepared work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines and customer order data.
  2. Fulfilling orders related work packages according to production data and instructions given by assigned foremen.
  3. Targeting the best performance in terms of quality, cost and delivery time.
  4. Self-check of work packages’ results, filling out and confirming on assigned checklists and protocols.
  5. Supporting the gathering of product improvement comments or feedback from the GIS LSC (local Service Center) engineers.
  6. Adequately handling factory equipment and tools, maintaining equipment and sustaining proper continuous calibration.
  7. Quality control and immediate escalation of quality issues.
  8. Recording deviations, supporting root cause analysis of failure and writing quality problem or non-conformance reports.
  9. Actively supporting teamwork, effectively communicating, and collaborating with internal customers or stakeholders (assembly, testing, logistics, etc.).
  10. Independently following factory rules and guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling, and housekeeping.
  11. Maintaining a safe working environment by following ABB-HSE guidelines and reporting any irregularities.
  12. Contributing actively to the continuous improvement process and Lean culture.
  13. Providing feedback, sharing ideas and observations whenever possible.
  14. Employee shall also carry out any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill the job requirements.

Your background
  1. A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  2. 4 - 5 years of experience in a production facility (assembly & testing).
  3. Understanding the lean concept & minimizing all related 7 wastes.
  4. Reading and precise understanding of technical drawings and material lists.
  5. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
