Inheriting DHL’s logistics excellence and Saudi Aramco’s extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth. ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region. Objective: The role holder is responsible for centralizing the various category operations and requirements in order to enable robust procurement & sourcing operations by focusing on managing the execution of the procurement and supply chain operations effectively and ensuring ASMO’s position as a single point of contact for suppliers, facilitating access to a large customer base. General Responsibilities:

  • Identify need for preparing RFP’s (Request for Proposal) as per category requirements.
  • Develop RFP’s to be reviewed by Category Cluster Director before deployment to suppliers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Technology function to automate procurement processes where possible ensuring to achieve economies of scale and overall efficiency in operations.
  • Execute category strategy by achieving supplier performance improvements, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Work closely with category teams to implement cross-category initiatives and projects.
  • Oversee sourcing specialists and tactical buyers to ensure the execution of efficient procurement processes, competitive sourcing, and timely purchase order placement.
  • Liaise with commodity technical experts to execute supplier assessments based on technical specifications and quality requirements.
  • Lead execution of spend analysis, identification of cost-saving opportunities, and implementation of spend optimization initiatives.
  • Execute contract lifecycle management processes, including contract creation, negotiation, and compliance management, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in degree in Business Administration or Economics or Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent is required from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • 11 years’ experience in similar or related field, out of which 5 years at a managerial / leading position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Recognized Supply Chain certifications such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is preferred.
