Job Overview: Improve the EHS of employees by facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring the actual implementation of the EHS Management System on the shop floor and provide the guidance where needed. Responsibilities

  1. Assist the EHS Manager in the implementation, development and monitoring of the EHS policies and procedures to achieve objectives, targets and maintain compliance to all legal requirements.
  2. Own and lead the implementation of the EHS standards assigned directly by Plant EHS Manager.
  3. Provide EHS advice/guidance/coaching to the plant team using different approaches.
  4. Complete regular checks and inspections and prepare related reports.
  5. Conduct behavioral safety observations and provide support to develop site BS program.
  6. Co-ordinate the implementation and conduct EHS trainings as identified by EHS manager.
  7. Effective communication with all stakeholders at all levels of the plant.
  8. Monitor compliance on the shop floor and ensure addressing the immediate required actions to correct situation.
  9. Update safety logs/registers and file and control of all safety records.
  10. Check and update all EHS communication means and report/fix any incorrect situation.
  11. Active participation in risk assessments, accident investigations, and other EHS activities as assigned.
  12. Follow up with all plant departments to ensure EHS reports are done in due time.
  13. Recognize and embrace positive behaviors and practices.
  14. Ensure all works are done under the appropriate and compliant permit to work.
  15. Participate in developing, maintaining, reviewing and continual improvement of EHS systems and procedures.
  16. Ensure readiness of all EHS systems and take immediate necessary actions in case of any impairment or malfunctions.
  17. Any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that supports the job main purpose.
Qualifications
  1. Strong people management skills.
  2. Problem solving and strong analytical thinking.
  3. Self-starter able to work independently.
  4. Experience and knowledge of EHS applicable legislations.
  5. Excellent Planning & Organizing skills.
  6. Excellent communication and presenting skills.
  7. Recognized EHS qualification; preferably NEBOSH IGC3.
  8. Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages.
  9. Ability to coach and support others to ensure requirements understood.
