The position exists to work in a team environment to proactively contribute in the delivery of the project KPI's through the effective management of the project planning and associated Reporting and Monitoring tools.

  • Prepare, manage and update resource loaded project Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning schedule using appropriate scheduling software (Primavera) as per requirements of Project Controls Plan.
  • Ensure all schedules are updated with the following information on a weekly basis:
  • Percentage progress complete as per information received from Engineering Manager, Procurement Manager, Site Manager and Construction Team
  • Third Party impacts and delay issues as they occur
  • Additional work activities as a result of changes to contracted scope
  • Acceleration plans
  • Liaise with construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements
  • Prepare and Issue all required weekly reports in the required project format as per the project reporting matrix.
  • Assess and communicate schedule impact of change notifications.
  • Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and analyze project performance in relation to planned performance.
  • Attend project progress and performance status meetings as required.
  • Liaise with cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the schedules.
  • Participate in schedule risk analysis as required.
  • Participate in disruption and prolongation impact analysis, EOT entitlement, Forensic Delay Analysis as required.
  • Work in a matrix team environment that includes the sharing of information with other Teams.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Commercial Manager/Site Manager.
  • Prepare and issue the following as required in line with project templates:
  • Daily reports
  • Plan of the Day presentations
  • Weekly reports
  • Monthly reports
  • Minutes of weekly meetings

  • Strong planning, control of documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in all standard MS Office and Adobe applications in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, MS Project, Primavera (P6).

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to monitor and report on work activities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to reduce large amounts of data to insightful observations.

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required for specific projects.
Scope: Manage the Project Schedule and Reporting to deliver the requirements of the project specific contract accepted at ITO to OTR handover. Principal Working Relationships
  • Reports on a daily and weekly basis directly to the Commercial Manager, or Site Manager as required.
  • Direct working relationship, planning and reporting within the project Team.
Responsibilities under the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • The Planner/Scheduler shall demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001 Standard.
  • The Planner/Scheduler is responsible to ensure the QMS is followed at all times, and the installation complies with the contract specification.
