Job details

Our client is a leading manufacturer of power control solutions & converters, looking for a service & support engineer to be based in Riyadh. Purpose:

  • Providing customer service by e-mail or by telephone or in person in the field, clarifying doubts and suggesting possible solutions.
  • Guide customers in actions to recover the proper functioning of equipment.
  • Perform commissioning and start-ups of equipment when requested by clients, providing technical training to subsidize customers in the use of equipment and knowledge of their functionalities.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service by e-mail or by telephone, clarifying doubts about equipment, technical and commercial specifications, parameter settings.
  • Personally respond to customer support requests by scheduling the visit and checking the indicated problems, performing tests, making parameter adjustments, or indicating the need to exchange a part or need to send for repairs not performed in the field.
  • Perform commissioning and start-up of equipment, moving to customers, assessing whether the panel is properly installed, performing protection and load tests, and commissioning it after approvals at the checks.
  • Prepare and deliver in-company technical training, taking equipment and training materials, simulating a real situation of the client, using the pre-configured test fin.
  • Perform maintenance of the training room's internal panels and tests, checking for adjustments to configurations, or internal part changes, re-testing and adjusting to allow customer configurations to be recreated to identify problem solutions presented.
  • Re-create new functionalities in the test panels, according to the technical information of the matrix, aiming to obtain the knowledge and distance training to support the customers.
  • Participate in electrical projects, involving software for the Dplan electrical project, seeking to know the operation and main characteristics to provide better quality services to customers.
  • Comply with the internal regulations, the requirements of the environmental preservation systems, and the norms and procedures of occupational health, hygiene and safety of the sector, as well as the use of EPI's / EPC's (Personal Protective Equipment / Collective Protection Equipment) when the activity so requires.
  • Develop other activities inherent to the position or at the discretion of their immediate superior, as long as they are in accordance with their knowledge and experience.
Desired Experience:
  • Graduating in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Automation.
  • Previous practice in equipment repair services and similar post-sales.
  • Basic technical knowledge in electrical and electronic.
  • Knowledge of configuration of several types of electronic measurement; analog and digital equipment; electronic design using electrical diagrams.
  • Calm, reliable and professional handling of equipment.
  • Intermediary English.
