About the job The Franchise Head is responsible for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers by ensuring the successful launch and positioning of key products. This high-visibility role involves leading, hiring, and developing a team to deliver a clear franchise strategy aligned with organizational goals and performance targets. The Franchise Head will inspire and lead the team to achieve ambitious goals, creating an inclusive, winning, and innovative environment. Main responsibilities:
  • Drive the development and implementation of core products and lead successful launches.
  • Accountable for overall franchise commercial strategies across all indications.
  • Build and develop a best-in-class and agile franchise team, recruiting internal and external talent and fostering skill development.
  • Develop a Franchise Vision and Strategic Plan, ensuring execution via stakeholder objectives and accountability outcomes.
  • Take full accountability for product profile strategy and validation from the strategic stage through launch.
  • Prioritize franchise initiatives and make key strategic decisions regarding funding, budget resources, and product prioritization.
  • Ensure appropriate ongoing environmental and competitive pricing in partnership with market access.
  • Engage with global brand franchise leaders to support the execution of key goals and priorities.
  • Take full accountability for franchise P&L to meeting/exceeding franchise financial objectives (sales and profitability).
  • Collaborate with local cross-functional teams and global teams for strategy development and performance review.
  • Lead with a strategic and competitive mindset to understand the role of each product and its value to the organization's financial success.
About you Critical Experiences, Skills, and Behaviors Required:
  • Experience leading complex product launches and managing multifaceted launches.
  • Successful P&L management experience, including revenue forecasting and expense management.
  • Experience in marketing and sales roles and team management.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cardiometabolic products with demonstrated experience in marketing to healthcare professional audiences.
  • Knowledge in product positioning, segmentation, targeting, operational/tactical marketing, resource allocation, and effectiveness.
  • Strategic analysis and scenario planning, including managing risks and considering alternative solutions.
  • Knowledge in Agile, digital, and innovation methodologies.
  • Excellence in people leadership, aligning with company core values and behaviors, and leading with an inclusive and diverse mindset.
  • Ability to assess situations or challenges and make timely decisions that ensure the best outcome for the organization.
  • Ability to progress in the face of uncertainty and inertia, challenging default positions while focusing on solutions and taking risks within one's sphere of responsibility.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience in building partnerships with key stakeholders and leveraging omnichannel strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem.
  • Mastery in business strategy and development.
  • Capability to prioritize information according to business relevance.
  • Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
Education:
  • Advanced Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or a related field.
Languages:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic both written and verbal.
