**Monitoring Analyst****Job Purpose**The **Monitoring Analyst** is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the performance and health of IT systems and applications using advanced observability platforms such as **AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, Instana**, and others. This role ensures the stability, availability, and performance of critical IT services by proactively identifying and resolving issues, providing actionable insights, and supporting incident management processes.**Role and Responsibilities*** **Monitoring and Observability:**+ Monitor the performance and health of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure using observability platforms like **AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, Instana**, and others.+ Configure and maintain monitoring tools to ensure comprehensive coverage of critical systems and applications.* **Incident Detection and Resolution:**+ Proactively identify and escalate incidents based on monitoring alerts and performance metrics.+ Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.* **Performance Analysis and Reporting:**+ Analyze performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.+ Generate and distribute regular reports on system performance, availability, and incident trends to stakeholders.* **Root Cause Analysis (RCA):**+ Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and performance issues, providing recommendations for long-term resolution.+ Document findings and share knowledge with the team to prevent future occurrences.* **Tool Optimization:**+ Continuously optimize monitoring tools and dashboards to improve visibility and accuracy.+ Stay updated on the latest features and capabilities of observability platforms and recommend enhancements.* **Collaboration and Communication:**+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, infrastructure, and application support, to ensure seamless monitoring and incident resolution.+ Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders during incidents and performance reviews.* **Process Improvement:**+ Identify opportunities to improve monitoring processes, tools, and workflows.+ Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for monitoring and observability. **Qualifications and Education Requirement**Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT operations, monitoring, or a related role. Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, Instana, or similar tools. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. Proficiency in configuring and using monitoring tools to track performance metrics and generate alerts. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends. Familiarity with incident management processes and ITIL frameworks.
