We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxurious hotel in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious desserts and pastries that will delight our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create and prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for the hotel's restaurants, banquets, and room service
2. Develop new menu items while maintaining the existing menu's standards
3. Ensure all food items are prepared according to established recipes and presentation guidelines
4. Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
5. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
6. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry kitchen area
7. Collaborate with other chefs to develop seasonal menus and special promotions
8. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve the quality of our pastries

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining restaurant
2. Extensive knowledge of various dessert techniques, including baking, chocolate work, sugar art, etc.
3. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
4. Strong attention to detail with an eye for presentation
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
6. Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and designs
7. Strong communication skills (English proficiency is preferred)
8. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
