Overview: The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. This includes establishing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves working closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure quality is maintained at every stage of the project. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project-specific quality control plans (QCP) and inspection test plans (ITP).
  • Conduct quality audits, inspections, and tests on materials, equipment, and construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCR) and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
  • Monitor and report on project quality performance metrics.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is maintained and properly archived.
  • Interface with clients and third-party inspectors on quality matters.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality procedures to project personnel.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
  • Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office applications.
Years of Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management or quality engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or construction sectors.
Technical Knowledge:
  1. Quality Standards & Procedures: Strong understanding of quality management systems, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements related to project quality control.
  2. Auditing & Inspection: Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and tests to ensure project compliance with quality requirements.
