Linum Consult’s client is a major international company that works within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to manage their information security activities, based in their Doha office. RESPONSIBILITIES

Being responsible for OT/ICS security and IT security for risk assessment, vulnerability management, security architecture review & design, security policy development, threat monitoring & incident response, and security testing & assessment
Regularly checking and analysing security logs and alerts from various security tools and systems, and identifying and responding to any suspicious activities or potential security incidents
Ensuring that all security controls are properly configured and operationally applicable. Updating security systems to protect against vulnerabilities
Developing a schedule for regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing, identifying and prioritising critical systems and data for assessments
Collaborating with the Head of Information Security and other stakeholders to develop strategies to mitigate identified risks
Providing guidance and on-the-job training for junior colleagues

PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
8 years’ experience of cyber/information security within large, multinational companies
Good understanding of the power and/or energy sectors and their relevant technologies and systems
Demonstrable hands-on operational and implementation experience
Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior management, and external partners/advisors where necessary
Fluent in English with very strong verbal and written communication skills
