Job Title: OCI Architect Job Type: Yearly Renewable Contract Experience Level: 10+ Years Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled OCI Architect to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role involves contributing to and reviewing designs and solutions for infrastructure and platforms from a cloud perspective. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, industry best practices, and business acumen to deliver functional and technical solutions for complex applications and technology installations. You will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team and provide guidance and mentoring to project teams. Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and create technical and architectural artifacts of the "AS-IS" Oracle cloud and virtualization infrastructure, including network, OS, applications, hardware, security, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Collaborate with the EA team to analyze technical requirements, develop architecture frameworks, models, platforms, and strategies, and contribute to technology selection and business cases.
  • Provide technical expertise for enterprise-class public cloud platforms, storage, and backup infrastructures.
  • Oversee architecture involving cloud products and offerings across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Deliver cloud workload migration assessments and articulate migration strategies for Oracle and Azure cloud technologies.
  • Enhance Microsoft/Oracle core infrastructure designs, including Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and SCCM.
  • Develop capacity and availability planning processes and management.
  • Create, update, and review technical documentation and architecture designs.
  • Perform administration and operational activities for Oracle IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Analyze requirements to determine solution designs, potential issues, and operational costs.
  • Provide high levels of professionalism, communication, and customer service in interactions with stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance analysis and validate solutions through operational statistics.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions in a non-technical manner.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent presentation and critical thinking skills, with the ability to address complex and stressful situations.
Experience:
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including solution design, lifecycle management, solution planning, and implementation.
  • 8-10 years of experience relevant to this role, with 4 years of cloud-specific experience.
  • Expertise in delivering solutions for environments with 5000+ end-users across multiple geolocations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), databases, middleware, and platform technologies.
  • Experience with large-scale hardware and software system architecture and implementation.
  • Familiarity with IT market trends, including AWS and Azure, and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, IAF, DYA, or Oracle’s OADP/OEAF.
  • Understanding of virtualization, cloud computing, and business continuity.
Certifications:
  • ITIL, COBIT, CISSP, or TOGAF certifications are advantageous.
Education:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
