Job Title: Vice President of Investment Location: QNB

Job Summary

The incumbent oversees the management of investment funds and client portfolios, ensuring their alignment with established policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participates in business development planning for the investment fund management function.
  • Helps implement the business plan to achieve set objectives for volume, revenue, and profit.
  • Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge progress towards goals.
  • Applies best market practices across portfolio management activities.
  • Recommends pricing structures/policies for investment fund management.
  • Identifies new business opportunities in conjunction with unit heads to drive growth.
  • Operates within departmental budget and individual investment parameters.
  • Liaises with Group Operations on operational aspects of investment activity.
  • Implements KPIs and best practices for Vice President Investment.
  • Fosters cost consciousness and efficiency while enhancing productivity.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • CFA or equivalent professional certification is a requirement.
  • 12 years' experience in Fund/Portfolio Management, with 3 years in a similar role, preferably in the Arabian Gulf.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English, with Arabic an added advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Superior interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of Portfolio Management Business.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of risk management concepts, techniques, and practices.
  • Awareness of relevant laws, regulations, and practices.
  • Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives.
  • Personal integrity and self-management.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Planning, organizing, and analytical ability.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in diverse cultural teams.
