RESIDENT ENGINEER - CIVIL HVDC

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering technology, building construction, and design specifications of ADNOC and TRANSCO.
• Familiar with ADNOC Onshore/Offshore HSE construction and administrative requirements.
• Coordination and knowledge of Permits/NOCs involved in execution of site activities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, AutoCAD, and other software.
• Ability to manage multiple construction projects at various stages of their lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Competent in assessing, interpreting, and presenting survey reports and other critical data for stakeholders and shareholders.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the UAE Building Code, safety regulations, and standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and management skills.
• Active role in site inspections for civil construction material and review of shop drawings.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency.
• Monitor project progress and compliance with design specifications.
• Monitor work schedules and recommend mitigation measures as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Supervise and monitor detailed documentation of all site construction activities.
• Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes.
• Proven track record for managing personnel and material resources.
• Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills.
• Active listening and verbal/written communication skills.
• Dedication to implement new concepts and strategies.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, or industrial buildings.
• Minimum 6-8 years of construction experience in 132kV, 400kV substations, and HV/EHV cable laying projects.
• Experienced in ADNOC and TRANSCO projects.
• Experienced as a construction supervision consultant.
