Accounts Payable Specialist

Valiant is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to comply and maintain accounts payable records by performing the below duties. Duties And Responsibilities

• End to end process of receiving, reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices through a workflow system including peer reviewing and posting of vouchers to the ERP system in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
• Analyzing invoicing issues, process delays, and working on resolutions.
• Answers external and internal inquiries effectively and efficiently.
• Analysis of vendor accounts, establishing rapport with vendors.
• Assist in preparation of payment reports, tracking urgent payments and payment recording.
• Interface with Procurement and Program teams to proactively address invoicing issues and drive continuous improvements and initiatives.
• Assist month-end closing, creating AP reports and schedule, account reconciliation, and assisting internal and external audit requirements.
• Other adhoc tasks and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Management or equivalent.
• Experience in Costpoint and Onbase systems a plus.
• Effective communication skills and customer service approach. Can work effectively with vendors and internal associates in resolving issues and drive continuous improvements/initiatives.
• Action-oriented, solution driven and able to work effectively on remote team environment.
• Highly accurate and detail oriented.
• Proficient in MS office applications, advanced knowledge in excel an advantage.
• Successfully works independently with less supervision and can adapt to change.
• Ability to identify processing issues, interpret data, and create resolutions.
• Possess critical thinking and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements

• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
