Structural Inspector - Night Shift

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector for the night shift position in our growing organization based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of various structures through thorough inspections during nighttime hours.

Responsibilities:

• Inspection sampling and testing of materials & the Works on/off site to assure compliance with the contract specification and approved documents.
• Sampling for testing of construction material to confirm compliance with the contract specification.
• Identify nonconforming work or materials, notify the contractor, and keep a record. Follow up on corrective and preventive measures taken by the contractor.
• Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project and organize field and laboratory tests conducted by others on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with specifications and determine their acceptability for use on the project.
• Liaise with RE/Senior engineer for the effective implementation of the quality management systems and site supervision activities.
• Monitor the implementation of the site supervision quality procedures.
• Monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete records concerning the execution of the works.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural inspection or a related field.
• Proficiency in structural inspection techniques and methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and safety regulations, particularly those applicable in Dubai.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with nondestructive testing equipment and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in using computer software for reporting and documentation.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Building Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Inspector) preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to perform inspections in various environmental conditions.
