Welder

Job Purpose: Join and fuse metal pipes together using various welding techniques. Ensure the structural integrity and leak-free operation of pipe systems by creating strong and durable welds following welding procedures and specifications and contributing to the successful completion of construction or industrial projects that involve pipe installations. Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare pipes for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting them according to project specifications and blueprints.
• Perform welding operations using appropriate welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, or stick welding) to join pipes and fittings, ensuring proper fusion and weld integrity.
• Interpret welding symbols and instructions to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify defects such as cracks or insufficient penetration and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Adhere to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment and compliance with welding codes and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
