Presales Engineer Audio Visual
Job details
A key role within this AV integration business quoting on and responding to tenders for commercial integrated systems incorporating the latest in audio visual technologies. Projects include AV systems in government buildings, schools, stadiums, and office environments. As an audio visual presales engineer, you will assist the sales team and delivery team by completing detailed proposals and quotes based on high-level designs, then producing more detailed designs and schematics for use by the installation team. You will enjoy a high level of input into project design and value engineering with support from highly experienced colleagues, leveraging your knowledge of AV technology and systems integration. There will also be the opportunity to meet and build relationships with end-user clients as well as technology vendors and distributors. Responsibilities:
- Review designs, drawings, and engineering for AV systems.
- Provide Audio Visual System consultancy to enterprise-level customers.
- Identify the most suitable solution and products and complete the most optimum economical design meeting the tender requirements and site conditions.
- Prepare a complete detailed technical proposal including design schematic drawings/system architecture compliance.
- Attend client meetings for technical clarifications and presentations.
- Strong liaison and negotiation skills with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and willing to work extended hours.
- Proven experience in designing and commissioning audio and video systems.
- Strong knowledge of audio video control systems and networking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements.
- Commitment to continued technical education and relevant certifications.
- Proficient in creating and modifying detailed documentation.
- Customer-focused mindset with a track record of exceeding expectations.
- Ensure that sales, commercial, and service teams receive presales support as they request. Interface with the implementation/project team articulating customer requirements to ensure a smooth transition from design to delivery.
- Architect a comprehensive solution with the right mix of products & technologies from our portfolio to meet the requirements of RFP/Tender.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Audio Engineering, IT, or a related field complemented by professional certification.
- Certified CTSD/CTS-I, AVIXA Certified in Extron, Crestron, QSC, QSYS, BIAMP, KNX will be an advantage.
- Master's degree or relevant advanced professional certification will be an advantage.
