Structural Engineer

Role – Senior Structural Engineer Location – Leeds (City centre) Salary - £40-50k Vertical Recruitment are proud to be working closely with an award-winning civil and structural engineering consultancy, they have experience a diverse range of projects and challenges, gaining valuable insights and skills across multiple industries. They have an exciting position for a senior/ principal structural engineer to join their team on a permanent basis! Who we are looking for

• BEng & MSc or MEng
• Chartered or working towards chartership with a view to sitting professional exam/interview in the near future
• Minimum 4 years’ experience, ideally in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment
• Experience completing design work in FE software such as SCIA/SAFE/ETABS/Tekla etc.
• Experience delivering projects in reinforced concrete and steel
• Excellent understanding of site constraints and the relationship to buildability
• Can independently provide early-stage construction proposals and outline scheme options appraisals
• Independently delivers project information, attends meetings and site visits, effectively managing your own time and consistently meeting deadlines
• Serves as the primary point of contact for the wider design team and clients
• Demonstrates an understanding of, and actively contributes to, fee and appointment management within projects
• Helps drive our internal ISO9001 QMS processes
• Capably delegates tasks and oversees junior team members
• Willingness to mentor and impart knowledge to junior team members
• Motivated to deliver exceptional service to our clients
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to participating in CSR activities, engaging in continuous professional development (CPD), and/or contributing to business development and other business operations
• Are self-driven, pro-active and positive with an ability to ‘own it’ and problem solve
