A bit about the role:
- As the Senior Business Development & Sales Leader in the Hydrogen Industry, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of our business growth. This is a strategic and operational leadership position responsible for driving business development and sales activities across key regions.
- Your main focus will be to develop high-value relationships, deliver profitable sales contracts, and position the company as a leader in the green hydrogen technology space. You will manage the full sales pipeline—from market analysis and opportunity identification to closing complex negotiations with strategic customers.
- In collaboration with internal teams, you will ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution, ensuring that all contracts are handed over effectively for successful delivery. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong commercial acumen, as well as the ability to lead and mentor your team for high performance.
- A degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A proven track record in senior business development or sales roles within industrial or technical markets, with specific experience in managing high-value, complex sales.
- Solid understanding of large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project development, packaged equipment deployment, and engineering contract conditions.
- Knowledge of energy markets, decarbonisation trends, and expertise in hydrogen or green energy is advantageous.
- Experience in building, managing, and developing high-performing teams, fostering a results-driven culture.
- Ability to analyse markets and develop effective business strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on profitability and risk management.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical abilities, with confidence in identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Comfort in navigating dynamic markets and working with developing technologies.
- A commitment to meeting targets and driving continuous improvement across the business.
- Experience in early-stage manufacturing environments.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English is a plus.
