Electrical Project Manager (Energy Storage Systems) Location: Hybrid between our manufacturing site in Stoke-on-Trent, and on-site at UK and Ireland based client locations Schedule: 37.5 hours Monday – Friday. Flexible working hours usually within 7am – 7pm (with potential for some out of hours cover/site requirements) Experience Level: Due to the nature of the role, a high level of electrical competency with commercial systems and experience in a similar role is a requirement Salary: £50k - £60k pa depending on experience and qualification level (plus performance bonus scheme) Driving Licence: A pool vehicle is provided for site visits, so a full driving license is required Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity in the growing renewables sector? Reporting directly to our Commercial Director, this role will oversee future large-scale projects across the length and breadth of the UK, with some international travel. Since 2018 GivEnergy has quickly grown to be a leading manufacturer of electronic equipment designed to manage energy use and production. We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money! Our systems range from 2.6kWh to multi-megawatt grid scale solutions, along with a range of accessories including smart plugs and EV chargers. GivEnergy Commercial takes care of our largescale projects: often containerised solutions to help larger clients set-up off grid backup for their needs. What You’ll Be Doing: Day to day, you can expect to be:
- Corresponding with potential and existing clients.
- Delivering quotes to complete projects.
- Negotiating deadlines, scope and technical details with project stakeholders.
- Working in collaboration with clients, staff and third parties to ensure projects meet SLAs.
- Assessing and adhering to all Health & Safety requirements.
- Managing the resources on the project on a day-to-day basis and reporting/escalating issues as and when appropriate.
- This is a client facing role, and you will be representing the Company in your interactions with clients and developing relationships with our stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with best practice and engineering procedures
- Being a brand ambassador and product expert representing GivEnergy at various industry shows and events.
- High level of commercial/industrial electrician experience in a comparable role (essential)
- Project management experience.
- People manager/leadership experience (essential)
- Core electrical qualification is required (such as NVQ L3, degree or equivalent)
- Holder of a CSCS/ECA card.
- 18th Edition (desirable not essential)
- A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel, with potential for overnight stays and night/weekend work due to nature of sites (e.g. hospital/supermarkets etc.)
- Drawing and process design skills.
- Certification of advanced Health & Safety competency
- Ability to work effectively to defined deadlines and timescales.
- Efficient planning and organisation capability.
- Strong IT skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Interest in problem solving and issue identification.
