Mechanical Design Engineer Contract: 6-Month Rolling Rate: £45-£60 per hour (open to negotiation) (Inside IR35) Location: Northamptonshire Are you a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for pushing boundaries in cutting-edge design? In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in designing, testing, and developing innovative mechanical components for high-performance projects. From concept to completion, your expertise will drive the creation of solutions that set new standards in engineering excellence. What You'll Be Doing
- Designing mechanical components and systems from initial concepts to final production.
- Creating detailed designs for jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing.
- Collaborating with structural teams to ensure safety, integrity, and efficiency.
- Generating innovative concepts to improve products and streamline processes.
- Managing issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle, delivering practical solutions.
- A degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Motorsport Engineering (2:1 or above).
- Proven experience in top-tier motorsport, F1, or a high-tech engineering environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Excel, and Power BI.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
