About the Team As a Back End Developer, you will report to the Head of Engineering and collaborate closely with Pine’s engineering team to bring your work to life. - Work on a cross-functional engineering team
- Participate in technical design and planning discussions
- Uphold standards for quality by performing code reviews, fixing bugs, creating automated tests, and monitoring performance
- Develop and support high availability, high performance APIs within an Agile development team
- Collaborate with other developers on the team to model and design new products
- You know how to write high-quality, testable code and understand the tradeoffs between expediency and maintainability
- You are familiar with API design
- You have experience with relational databases
- You have experience with abstraction and applying it to learning new languages and frameworks
- You have experience with code merging and branching methodologies using Git and code release process
- You are a strong communicator, and you can explain complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers without a problem
- When things break, you’re eager and able to help fix things
