Job Overview: As a Product Management Skills Lead, you will be responsible for driving the product management skills agenda across the organization. You will work with the four business units Senior HR & Skills Leaders as well as the Product Management Leaders to identify the critical skills and associated skills gap, to inform your skills agenda and planning process. You will assess capabilities and deliver skilling interventions and skills campaigns, that are impactful, sustainable and in some cases fully measurable. You will act as a business consultant, providing recommendations and insights on the skills priorities and best practices for product management. You will collaborate with the Skills Center of Excellence (CoE) design team, the Product Management sponsors and other Skills CoE Leads to ensure alignment and coordination of the product management skills agenda, continuously considering and recommending the best way for the business to activate their new skills. You will report to the Head of the Skills CoE and you will help drive Finastra towards its goal of becoming a skills based organization whilst contributing to the overall learning and development strategy of the organization. Duties:

  • Define and communicate the product management skills agenda across the BUs and the wider organization
  • Plan, direct and evaluate the Skills CoE design team to shape and deliver the best-in-class product management skilling experiences, such as workshops, courses, coaching, mentoring, etc.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the engagement and delivery of skills activation and tracking of business impact, using relevant metrics and tools
  • Lead and provide feedback/ recommendations on the product management skills needs and gaps, based on data analysis and stakeholder input
  • Educate and influence the organization on how to spot and leverage skills activation opportunities, such as projects, assignments, challenges, etc.
  • Support, manage and challenge the current product managers in the organization, by sharing your own working experience and examples of launching and managing products
  • Apply design thinking and product lifecycle management principles to understand and address the customer and market needs, from ideation, to development/production, delivery/implementation and support
  • Anticipate and determine strategic planning for the future skills requirements and trends in product management, and how to extend or build new products accordingly
  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence in product management
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 4+ years experience of deep product management within the software industries, with proven track record of launching successful products
  • 4+ years experience working in a global business, with a track record of operating with Chief Product Officers/Owners, and generally with experienced/senior product management stakeholders
  • Strong learning delivery experience across a wider product base, ideally mostly software/technology environments
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to function across senior levels within the organization
  • Experience in conducting sills assessments, gap analysis, and capability development
  • Experience in applying design thinking, product lifecycle management, and customer-centric approaches to product development
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile and collaborative environment, with exposure to different product stages and challenges
  • Experience in leading or participating in skills campaigns, initiatives, or programs, with measurable outcomes and impact
  • A passion for learning, developing, and sharing product management skills and best practices
  • World class interpersonal, influencing skills and coaching skills
