L3 Support & Developer

Are you ready for your next professional adventure? Your new role We have an opportunity for a L3 Support & Developer role to join our client’s team . The team works on remote working basis. Contract : 12 months Location: Remote Hours : 40, Monday to Friday SC Required Responsibilities

• Be ready to take a call for 1 week per size of team as primary, so if 12 people, one week on primary and one on secondary “just-in-case” primary doesn’t take call, but ten weeks of not being on call.
• We are not expecting anybody to cut code or do anything like that whilst being on call. We are not doing a code release.
• We would expect the person on call to help and advise the L2 team what to do in the event they can’t do it. The current l2 team will be doing additional training to up their skills to l2.5. The current L3 team will be “enhancing” the Work Instructions that the L2 team must make them more comprehensive so that the L2 team can do significantly more.
• The intention is that the L3 team do not get called ossut at all as the L2 team pick up the work.
• The vast majority of the P1’s and P2’s OOH will involve restarting things, based on analysis of previous P1’s and P2’s. Sometimes an L3 person may need to advise on a restart order, or something is unclear. The L3 person might also say that the system is working as designed and that people have misunderstood something and raised a ticket for something that’s fine.

• Java 1.8+ application development.
• Web applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Test Driven Development.
• Spring/Spring Boot application development.
• Design Patterns that promote code reuse, modularisation.
• REST, Asynchronous messaging, or database integration.
• Collaborative delivery, working as a team, not as an individual.
• Understanding of continuous delivery and integration processes.
